Would you agree that a primitive man with almost no knowledge of the universe and very little of science?

Question: Would say the sky looks a bowl, a dome if you will that covers the earth (which looks fairly flat), with a great yellow ball traveling through it during the day followed by a smaller white ball that travels at night when little lights on the bowl become visible. This man, when trying to explain the whole thing, might end up grasping for the supernatural, a god if you will, that created the earth and the bowl and the lights and, well ,everything. Know of any creation myths that sound a little like that?

Answer: Well, you just have to redefine the words (claiming inaccurate translation or Satanic interference) to fit the modern body of knowledge so that you can maintain the illusion of viability and relevance. "Dome" really means expanding universe. "Fairly flat" really means spherical. "Yellow ball" really means star around which the solar system orbits. And so on. Does that sound a little familiar too?
